The calculators are free, they are estimates, and they are not legal, tax or financial advice. Everything below explains what that means in practice.

What this is

Dot & Halo publishes free calculators and short explainers. Each calculator applies a formula taken from a named law or rate card, shows the working, and links the source. You can use the site without an account and without paying.

What this is not

An estimate is not an entitlement. Your final figure can differ from what the calculator shows because of a contract term, an allowance, unpaid leave, a settlement agreement, a free zone rule, a court decision or a change in the law after the date printed on the page. For a dispute, a final settlement or a filing, use the official authority, a qualified lawyer or your tax adviser.

Accuracy and dates

Every calculator page carries the date its formula was last checked against the source, and links the source so you can check it yourself. The law moves. A page checked in October 2026 may be out of date by the time you read it, and the date on the page is the honest limit of what we claim.

If you find an error, tell us. A confirmed error is fixed and the date moves.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, that it will be free of faults, or that a result fits your particular case. To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for a loss that follows from using a figure from this site.

Nothing here limits a right you have under a law that cannot be excluded, including consumer rights that apply where you live.

Using the site

You may use the calculators for personal or business decisions, and you may quote a result with a link back to the page. You may not copy the site wholesale, republish it under another brand, resell access to it, or run automated requests at a volume that degrades it for other people.

Content and brand

The text, design and code of this site belong to Dot & Halo. The laws and rate cards the pages cite belong to their own publishers and are linked, not reproduced at length.

Changes

These terms can change as the site grows. The date at the top of this page moves when they do, and a change applies from that date.
